Piero Macgowan is currently employed as the main concept artist for Firaxis Games' latest project. He has also been producing concept art for music videos and working on his personal work.
He has a B.F.A. in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland.
His past and current projects, internships, and jobs -- not only in concept art, but in illustration, animation, graphic design and web design -- have given him experience in many professional fields. He worked as a lead animator for the film industry in Mexico as well.
Although he has a strong traditional artistic background, he is mostly interested in the potential of digitally created art and its possibilities, due to the ever-changing and improving nature of digital tools.
